Dressing your body shape...

Some shape consultants describe women's bodies as fruits or vegetables. But no woman wants to be labeled an apple, pear or carrot. And not everyone needs a shape like an hourglass. So let's not talk about fruits and vegetables. Let's talk about dressing to look your best!

First, you've come to the right place. The clothes at are designed exclusively for full figures – – they aren't just missy fashions sized up. Every item has features chosen for plus sized figures. Express your personal style and choose trends to follow! After all, shopping should be fun!

Step one - rules for every shape Rules for every shape.
  • Don't try to squeeze your body into an unnatural shape. Say it out loud: Hourglass is NOT the only desirable body type.
  • Don't dress your entire body to fit your largest proportion. You'll look like you're wearing a sack.
  • Poor fit doesn't flatter anyone. Buy the size you really are, not the size you wish you were, or too large a size. Tight and baggy are both bad.
  • Larger prints, bright colors, and ruffles draw the eye. Use solid colors and vertical stripes to de-emphasize a proportion --it's all about placement.
  • Predictable is not a style. If your entire closet is blacks or ten years old, it's makeover time. Branch out and try something new – a new trend, a new color, a new silhouette.
  • Shapewear is sold to women looking to smooth their silhouettes. Modern fabrics are cool and light. If you haven't bought a shaper in 10 years, it's time to try again.
  • Style and confidence are beautiful – and so are you!
Step two - body shape Choose the body shape that best describes you.
Body shapes

Triangle: Larger through the hips and thighs than through the bust and waist. Pear Circle: Thicker through the bust, tummy and waist than in the hips and legs. Apple Rectangle: Weight is distributed pretty equally through torso, hips and thighs. Topper: Your largest proportion is your bustline, legs are thin. Carrot Figure 8: Proportions are smallest at the waist and balanced at bustline and hips. Hourglass Feel free NOT to pick one of these five shapes. You may be a cross between Triangle and Figure 8 or between Circle and Topper. If so, pull the best ideas from both body shapes.

Step three - buying suggestions

Tips and buying suggestions for each body type.

Give yourself an A: A-line skirts and dresses flatter hips and thighs. Try our Faux Suede A-Line Skirt. Full skirts look great. How about our V-Hem Dress? High waist jeans with wider legs offer comfortable fit, like our 4-pocket Bootcut Jeans. Dark wash jeans will minimize a larger bottom or wider thighs. V-neck, scoopneck or boatneck tops add balance, as do patterned tops. Our Sharkbite Tunic with Embellished Neckline and Double Bar Keyhole Top flare over your hips and draw interest to your neck and face.
