Casual wear--comfortable
I have several of these pants which I wear almost everyday. They are far more comfortable than jeans. When new I might wear them out to do a few quick errands, but after they start to fade out a bit I wear them only around the home for working around the house, watching TV, etc,.
Yes, they are too long, I'm 5'0" tall. It's an easy fix. Always wash before hemming. Turn up the hem and do a quick whip stitch--takes about 15 minutes to do both legs. If you aren't handy with a needle purchase some iron-on hem tape. The pants can easily be turned up, hemmed and if you follow the instructions will stay hemmed forever. Too much shrinkage--cut off and hem for crop pants or even shorts for hot weather.

great everyday slack
I love cotton knit pants. These are about the most affordable and longest wearing knits that you can find. Most companies have abandoned this style (why, because it's too comfortable?) but I implore JMS to keep making these they look good, I wear them to work in an office and they stay unwrinkled and flatter a larger figure. My skin never feels happy unless it is in cotton and that's why these wear so well and feel so smooth on the skin. Love them!

Don't buy these!
If I could rate less than one star, I would. Wish I had paid heed to the other reviewers. Never should have purchased these pants. They felt cheap and after washing them, the inseams weren't straight. I wore them once and put them in my donation bag. My pennance for not listening to the other reviewers!

Petite -- NOT!
I don't know who they're making these so-called petites for. I'm 5'4", and the pants legs are dragging on the floor. The price is a decent buy, but not if you have to spend additional money to hack off and hem a couple of inches from the pants legs. Very disappointed.
